Telehealth appointments
For your telemedicine appointment, you will need a device with video and an internet connection, such as a smartphone, computer, or tablet. If you do not have access to these, please contact us for an audio-only telemedicine appointment using a telephone.
Before Your Appointment
- Find a well-lit spot so your provider can see your face clearly
- Set your device on a flat surface with camera at eye level
- Test your technology beforehand or request a test link
- Close other applications to improve your connection
- Reduce background noise and distractions
During Your Appointment
- Choose a private location to discuss your health concerns
- Have your current medications and doses ready
- Keep paper and pen nearby to take notes
- Stay focused—avoid eating, drinking, or multitasking
- Be patient if your provider is running behind schedule
After Your Appointment
- Contact your provider if you have follow-up questions
- Schedule any recommended follow-up care or appointments
- Complete any prescribed lab work or imaging
- Give feedback about your telemedicine experience
